The activity of Studio
Frosio as a private consultant and designer company
began in 1980, thanks to the experience of its founder, Giancarlo
Frosio, a civil and hydraulic engineer, who worked
- since 1947 - as a project manager and manager in charge of
hydro plants – firstly for a big private company and then
for the National Electricity Board (ENEL).
Afterwards, the company staff grew up with the contribution
of the engineers Nino Frosio (1981), Franco
Frosio (1985) Luigi Papetti (1992)
and Claudio Frosio (2001), of the land-surveyor
Stefano Ravelli (1992), and so forth till it
took up the present form of a small consulting company.
Studio Frosio has developed a highly
specialized competence in designing and site supervision of
hydro-power plants and hydraulic
works.
In addition to the above-mentioned competences, Studio Frosio
- through the controlled company Frosio S.r.l. - runs other
activities such as: surveys, geognostic surveys, flow gauging,
environmental impact assessments, bureaucratic activities in
order to obtain all public authorizations, State and Community
funding and “Green Certificates”.
