| 04/05/2011 Completed the upgrading of Calcinato HPP
|
| The upgrading of Calcinato HPP, located in the province of Brescia and owned by Società Idroelettrica M.C.L. has been completed. The HPP exploits the head available at the junction of an irrigation system. Since 1987 the power plant was provided with an open flume vertical axis group coupled with an asynchronous generator through a gearbox (the main characteristic values were: Q = 7,00 m3/s, H = 5,80 m, P = 338 kW, n = 285 rpm)
The new group is composed by a double regulated Kaplan turbine directly coupled with an asynchronous generator (the new characteristic values are: Q = 7,00 m3/s, H = 5,80 m, P = 365 kW, n = 272 rpm).
